These things manifest themselves in may different ways. There is the "norm", 15min. - 2 hr. HA, hit at same time daily, wake at night with them, one side of head, center around eye, etc. From reading this board you can see ther are a lot of variations. Some people have written that they are entering there posts while in the middle of a whopper HA. I can't imagine doing anything but hurt while in the middle of one.
Anyway, my point is, they don't have to hit at night to be CH. I also don't get hot/sweaty in a HA but I guarantee you I have CH. Mine have hit at different times in each cluster. Sometimes in the morning, at work, right after dinner. This cluster was 1 1/2 haours after falling asleep and multiple time during the night. Sometimes late afternoon/early evening.
The multiple HA during the day sounds like CH. I can't give you any advice that isn't already on this site. All I can do is wish him and you luck in your search for relief.
