In 1995 or 96 I was experiencing these very painful and frequent headaches. Just as described by all of you. They came like clock work everyday. I was seen by internal medicine and diagnosed with CH. They went away in a 3 weeks. Never felt the need to research the subject until know. I have been having an episode for about 6-7 weeks. They always come at the same times. Evening and 3-5AM. They last 20-45 minutes, but still linger. Yesterday was my 2nd worst. The worst one I did not know what to do, so I put my hand through the wall. I have been on prednisone, which helped for 5 days, now I am on Imitrex. Yesterday I had one at 3Am and then at 6AM. The second onewould not let go. I eventually had my caring wife bring me to the ER. Unsure what they put through the IV but it worked. Too hard to concentrate on what they were saying. I am not scared or anything, but I am in the US Army and I am getting selected for one of my career fields most prestiges positions. HOW DO YOU ALL FUNSTION DAILY? Will this stop and just come back another day, week, or year. I have read here from one person that he had it 300 days out of 360. Whew!!! Don't know if I can take it. I also have had a somewhat lingering headached in the same spot 2-3X times in the day for the last 2 days. Is this normal. I have also started getting them during the afternoon. Really draining me. No sleep. Well I know I am rambling on, but I do see that this is exactly what we need. A place to express our feeling and pains. Thanks for listening.
