I'm having a similar experience. I've been taking
verapamil SR during cluster episodes for years, and
it always worked well, but it seemed less effective
during my last attack. Now I'm ten days into a new
episode, and it's not having much of an effect at all.
I've even increased the dosage from 240mg to 360mg
and finally 480 mg per day (1/2 morning, 1/2 evening),
which I'm told is the absolute maximum, but I'm still getting headaches.
Could the brand make a difference? I used to take Calan,
but where I live now I get Isoptin, from Knoll.
