Communicate with Drs. who do have a clue!!!!! like Dr. Louis Reik of the Uconn Medical Center in Farmington, Ct. My first visit to his office after years of misdiagnosis' referred to as a med seeker by ER staff he told me I didn't have to prove anything to him about my pain he knew exactly what I was going through. He noiticed the drooping of the right eye lid so common in cluster migraine sufferers and said to me " I believe you, and I can help you". I began to cry. For the first time I was communicating with someone who really knew clusters and their effect on a persons life. Along with some prophylactic medications he introduced me to Imitrex the miracle cure for these dibilitating headaches. It takes them out in minutes. But I usually get 3-5 a day and can't use an injection on each one. So I've become more aware of each one.
