I've been suffering from clusters for 8 years but diagnosed properly only last year. Every other diagnosis was a sinus infection. Anyway, I am about 3 weeks into my cycle and the pain is 10 on the Kip scale. Unbearable. And they are lasting about 4 hours. And to boot, they come out 2:30 am on the nose.
I have tried O2, Verapamil, Prednisone, Vicodin, nothing is stopping these suckers like in the past. Yesterday I put up the white flag and went to the emergency room for 150 CC of demeral (spelling?).
That took the edge off the pain and let me sleep all night.
My MD wants me to see a neurologist but the earliest appointment is 3 weeks from now. Maybe the nearologist can take the headaches for me until they have time in their schedule to see me.
Well, that is all for now. When I wake up at 2:30 tomorrow morning, I'll be thinking pleasant thoughts about the neurologist :)
