Sleep aids, such as dramamine/gravol (motion sickness meds that produce sleep as a side effect - and I've heard that Benadryl also does the same thing), don't allow you to get into REM phase....thus the reason for the success reported here from folks using this stuff who have gotten through the nights without an attack.
