I was addicted to pain killers myself, my addiction started from buying some for energy.
I was addicted for 5yrs. and when oxys came out I
started taking them at the end I was taking over
10 oxy 80's a day. I finally ran out of a place to
stay, and I had to go back home. When I was 18 my
addiction became so bad I quit my job, school, and left home. After living place to place, the time came to go home. When I went home, I was even
shooting the oxy's up. My parents were sick of me,
so I just quit cold turkey. My withdraws were extremely painful, but I did not have convulsions or seizures. You only expierience that from cocaine or heroin withdraw, trust me I've been addicted to them also. When it was all over I felt great and had the most energy I've ever had.
The initial withdraw only takes a week. After that you just have to over come the cravings.
The pain only lasts for a week. Most of the withdraw is in your mind, if you want to quit and your mind is set to that, the withdraw will be less. The longer you take them the more you have to take to feel high or energetic, and after a while just to feel normal, no more buzz. There is no reason to feel ashamed or guilty, you would be suprised how many important people have this addiction including cops and doctors, judges and lawyers. I know I used to be a big time dope dealer. After all this mess though I joined the marine corps. and I feel proud of myself for over coming all the obstacles in my life. If you wonder what started my addiction, I used it at first because my girl friend got an abortion that I was against so I used it as a crutch for that, and later for energy and a motivator because of my depression. I hope this will help you out, I am just glad to have had someone to discuss this story with, you have actually helped me.
