I have have clusters since the age of seventeen.
When I turned 40 they seemed to go into "remission"
and I have now been pain free for four years! I've been
reading the trail of postings and some of you have
noted that you too have had years of remission, only
to have them return.
I have a theory that possibly the change in hormone
levels of crossing the age 40 mark might have something
to do with my remission. I thought this because there
is such a high propensity for CH sufferers to be male.
Now, my doctor has told me that it is necessary for
me to take hormones to treat an ovarian cyst and I'm
terrified to start them.
Do any of the women sufferers out there know if there
is a correlation between hormones (having too many
of them)?
I'd appreciate any thoughts from the women or doctors
who specialize that might be out there!
