I am 31 and my mother has suffered from clusters for all of my life. My mom and family have hit a brick wall at this point, because the medication will not touch them. She has them daily now and gets shots of demmoral (spelling?) for what the doctors call "relief." She takes imitrex like it's water... it doesn't even phase her at this point. She just went to ANOTHER specialist who has put her on new medication, and suprise, surprise, after being on the medication for 2 whole days, she came down with another huge cluster in the middle of the night.
I am really concerned that she's not going to make it out of this season of clusters. They last too long and are too strong. I've never seen her have them so bad.
We are considering sending her to some type of migraine clinic, if one exists, but we need some information. If you have any suggestions, please advise.
Thanks for taking your time to listen.
