Both of these articles are from: HEADACHE QUARTERLY, vol X, #2, 1991.
"Women and headaches: a comprehensive approach", pp 31-36.
"Special considerations in the management of headache in women", pp 37-43. (This is highly technical and more appropriate to give to your physician. It deals with the role of hormones in headache and how medications should be altered.)
I highly recommend the book, MANAGEMENT OF HEADACHE AND HEADACHE MEDICATIONS, 2nd ed, by Lawrence D. Robbins, M.D. About $49. He runs a headache clinic in the Chicago area and has a good web site also. Through out the book are materials especially valuable for women--on the interaction of hormones/menstrual cycle and headache, how medications used to treat headache need to be adjusted, and so on. It is written for nonprofessionals.
