You know I was looking back in the archives and re-reading these heartfelt posts to Carl. Posts cheering him on to get disability. That's a good one. Nothing like one month being cheered on to get disability and then the next being crucified for it. You just got to laugh at how the ball rolls.
I had a friend once in junior high. My friends life sucked big time. Her mother was an alcoholic, her dad I believe was playing around with her. Her friends told her to trust them. That they'd be there for her. She really needed that. She did trust them. The most that was on her mind was her homelife, so that was all she talked about. Her friends got tired of it fast. She was always talking about suicide. Making comments about it. Pretty soon no one believed she'd ever do it. After a while she didnt' talk about suicide anymore, she just did it.
Life is full of suprises. You never know when your last minute is going to be. You never know when the last minute of those around you will be. The next time you give someone a smile or some help, it may be the last chance you'll ever get, or it may be their last chance. You never know if the words you mask as tough love will be the last one's you say or the last ones they hear.
Mostly you never know if the last careless thought or word is the one that will make all the difference.
