This is my first time to write but I had a questions perhaps someone can help me with.
I have suffered with headaches for two years now. About a year ago I went to my family doctor and he wasn't sure what it was but gave me medicine for a migraine. It didn't touch the headache. He just dismissed it. Because at the time we didn't have insurance, I just suffered through them. Finally four months ago my headache was so severe, I went to the emergency room. They gave me a shot (too out of it to know what it was) and told me to go back to my doctor. I have since changed doctors so I went to the new one and he immediately told me I have CH. I am currently on Verapamil and it seems to be doing the job.
However, my symptoms aren't exactly like what I've been reading on these posts. I get these headaches approx. every 3-4 weeks. They begin over my left eye and eventually work all the way to the back of my head. They're always on the same side, they feel like sharp jabbing pains, my left eye gets red and runs, but they don't let up for about three days. I can't lay on the left side because it hurts too much. Everyone talks about how the pain will come and go but mine just stays. The doctor says its a combination of migraine and cluster. If anyone has any thoughts on this I'd sure appreciate it.
