Could not get ahold of my regular neuro, or family doc yesterday, so ended up at an urgent care clinic. Have been feeling like my neurologist doesn't take me seriously anyway. When I asked him about oxygen he would not even discuss it with me. He has written several scrips for pain-killers and anti-depressants, but never preventatives. Thanks to you guys I now knw some of the things to ask about, but he is evidently convinced that i am merely depressed, and it's "all in my head" Think that anyone who has been in constant pain since June might reasonably expect to be a little depressed. Anyway, I digress. That happens when i don't sleep for a week. The doctor at the clinic prescribed inderal as a preventative and stadol nasal spray for pain . Can't find too much info on it, but am thinking would rather have tried imitrex injections. They never want to try because the pills didn't work. He was willing to write a scrip for oxygen however, so will surely be trying tht later today. Through my reading I have discovered these meds are more common for migraine sufferers. He would not commit to a diagnosis of migraine or CH, so am still in limbo. Would not hurt my feelings terribly to determine that this hell is not CH, but am wondering what makes for a definitive diagnosis? Everything I read makes me think that they are CH, but I know I'm no dr. Of course their track record with me isn't so ggod either. Any info you would care to share on meds or getting a diagnosis would be appreciated. I have read the info posted here. Thanks, Tami
