Just saw your post downstream about the CH TV piece.
If you can get a tape, and assuming your VHS is compatible with ours here, I have the ability to digitize it into an mpeg which can be put up on the web.
A few potential problems...
first, copyright infringement. I assume that the tv network would own the rights to the piece, so we would need permission to post it to the web.
second, it's in Dutch, I imagine. A lovely language and understood by all of you in the Netherlands and many other people, I'm sure, but not by most of us here.
third, any video clip over about one minute is a HUGE file, even when compressed. Takes forever to download.
so, here a some ideas.
perhaps you would be so kind as to consider taking on the task of translating the audio and reducing it to text. You may even be able to get a hard copy transcript from the TV network, to make this easier. Then, if we could get permission to use it, we could post the text. If you could send me a copy of the tape, I could even extract a few still shots for added aesthetic interest.
A less expensive alternative would be if you happen to know any 'puter geeks who have Dazzle or a similar device to transfer video to digital. The commercial houses that do that (here at least) are geared toward large scale work for businesses and charge outrageous prices (like $250US). [The Dazzle only cost about $125, so I bought my own.] Don't know what it would cost to mail a tape from there to here, but if you happen to have a friend who could snatch some stills for free then you can email them for nothing.
Somewhere in cyber-space there are videos of DJ, drummer, myself and several other people who managed to convince our local TV stations to do segments on CH and interview us. It would be great to have a 'video vault' on line where anyone could view these.
KTSSU,
