The Cayenne Pepper Treatment has been proven to reduce the pain of an attack and to completely abort it 85% of the time, according to a report printed by the READER'S DIGEST. If it doesn't work the first time it will work the second or maybe the third time. But it will work.
The way it is used is this:
As soon as an attack gets underway, mix a dash of Cayenne Pepper with a little Vasoline and stuff it up the nose on the same side as the headache. Work it well into the membrane.
It helps to do the same on the outside of the nose and along the forehead and temple areas surrounding the pain.
Some people use Vick's Vapo-rub because it seems to help with any subsequent nasal stuffiness.
Whatever your avowed beliefs, your fears or snide remarks about this treatment...it does work as advertised.
Might burn just a little. Might make you sneeze.
But, if you would rather have the Cluster Headache than to sneeze, don't use this method.
