Sounds nuts, but I've aborted many CHs that way.
Start jogging in place at the first sign of nasal stuffiness
or twinge of pain; do it for two or three minutes, then rest for
two or three more; repeat if necessary. The pressure in your
head will appreciably decrease as you jog.
I've done it numerous times, mostly with success.
I also drink lots of strong coffee mid to late afternoon
in order to put off the otherwise inevitable early-evening headache.
With those two techniques I am able to save
my precious Imitrex shots for that lovely middle-of-the-night visit
from the full-blown monster.
Several of us use this "burst of exercise" technique to
abort CHs. (Onanistic techniques are analogous.) The critical
point with this technique is that it works only if you catch the CH
early.
Do it, clustergirl!
Cheers,
Maryse
