but Oprah has a thing she calls a gratitude book, or something like that. It goes like this...every night, open it up and write down at least 3 things you are grateful for TODAY. Bethany's getting better. Her smile. Knowing that your mum's getting immediate attention (critical in cancer situations). You get the idea.
Make it a routine. EVERY night, carve out a few minutes. Some days it will be tough, but soon it will become such a commitment that you will find yourself thinking about it all day. Then you begin to focus on good stuff....and on 'bad' days, you sorta 'panic' and tell yourself, "Sheesh! I better find some to be grateful about quick" Funny how when you look for them, they are always there.
