I really believe we allow ourselves to get sick sometimes so that we can get the rest, break from work,etc.,that we need. Also when we are sick with something that has been "going around" we know that our sickness becomes somewhat credible to others and therefore worthy of absenteeism, cause we all know nobody believes "a headache" is justification for time off.
