Man, I hate to think of a little guy going through this. Breaks my heart. Have you tried easing his pain with ice? I use those gel-packs that you can "freeze" and then I wrap it in a cloth gift bag - seems to bring my husband some relief and it does help to calm him down.
Your little man is sooooo young to be trying meds...read all you can here at this website and keep posting questions. I'm sure we can help you both somehow.
My husband has had big success with the water treatment but I don't know how it would work for someone so young.
