Whew! That last message got away from me.... I am currently seeing a chiropractor for back problems, and my back has really improved. However, I began to notice that after my latest round of clusters started, cervical manipulation seemed to actually trigger a headache within 15 minutes. My chiropractor was baffled. Fortunately, I am at the tail end of my cycle and the manipulations no longer trigger the headaches. Needless to say, my adjustments didn't help.
That said, most of us know that a few things work for many of us and many things work for a few. Chiropractors are all different, just as physicians are not all alike and just as our headaches are not all alike. I just read there are different kinds of chiropractic. So go ahead, give it a shot. I suggest you do some legwork (or webwork) and check out chiropractors who claim to specialize, or at least have experience with clusters (or at least other vascular headaches). Get patient references. Be skeptical, but not cynical. And may you be pain free!
