Someone said here earlier that if running nude in the snow were shown to be effective, he'd be headed for the mountains with no clothes on. I agree.
It seems extremely closed minded, arrogant, and self assured to dismiss ANY possible treatment out of hand. Especially when there ARE others who have found a methodology to be effective. There are those who have found relief from these headaches thru chiropractice - regardless of others' experience.
I am not personally aware of a state wherein chiropractice is illegal - assuming I am uninformed, I might point out that such things as abortion, alcohol, and psychotherapy have been illegal in our recent past.
Yin Yang. Everything is made up of some good and some bad. There are good doctors and poor ones. Why can't there be good chiropractors and bad ones?
I'd say try it. If it doesn't work, what have you lost? If it DID work, though, and you DIDN'T try it ... who's the dope?
Personally, I have recently had very good results aborting an attack by rolling my shoulders and head and loosening the muscles and bones in my neck and upper back. So much so I believe I am going to try a chiropractor (something I have never done in my 47 years so far). But my own personal observations of my own reaction to manipulation of the back and neck leave me aware that something is theraputic here.
You naysayers need to drop the attitude. Medicine has recognized chiropractice. The animosity is a relic of the past and the shield of the uninformed. Read.
Give it a shot, Holly.
Pain freedom is a human right.
close-mindedness is it's own reward.
