My husband too uses the welding oxygen but just a
word of caution....I called the poison control
centre before he used it to see if it was indeed
the same stuff. You're right, it is - oxygen is
oxygen BUT the inherent risk with welding oxygen
is the inability to restrict the flow - i.e. with
a mask and regulator. Make sure your tank has some
kind of aparatus to regulate this as you can tear your
lung tissue if you get to harsh a blast. We can,
fortunately, control ours and my husband has gotten
big relief if he catches his headache in time. Just
do me a favour so I can sleep a little better tonight
and check to make sure you are doing this safely.
