I am now in my fourth week of chiropractic treatments -- averaging two a week for now. From the beginning, this particular cycle has been a tough one; Most of my favorite remedies have not stopped it and it has been going on since December.
But, I have only had three attacks above '5' on Kipp's scale since I began getting spinal adjustments.
Prior to that I was enjoying 8's and 9's pretty much every night. The subluxations in my neck have been cutting the nerve impulses to parts of my brain.
That's probably also why I am so stupid.
I have no idea if my subluxations have anything to do with the Cluster Headaches. But, there might be something to it. Others I know have said that chiropractic treatments have stopped their Cluster attacks. And, I am getting relief.
Also, I can add my testimony to those of others that have said having sex might stop a migraine -- but it won't faze a Cluster. In fact, if you persist at it, the pain will climb relentlessly to the top of the scale and completely displace any intention of finishing the experience, so to speak.
That's why I didn't get in on the other discussions about sex...I was, uh...well you know, missing at the time?
A Cluster Haiku for you:
"He's a real nice guy
But he has this weird problem...
He's a Clusterhead."
