I agree...some docs have too big an ego.
We desperately need new preventives for cluster and migraine....the preventives only work well in, at best, half of the patients. I just pub. a paper on 600 patients with daily headaches, where only 46% had long term success with the preventives.
The only new things for cluster are botox(I have done 7 people now, and had some success, several spectacular successes)....Ritalin as a preventive(helps in some people)..and daily triptans as preventives(particularly Amerge)...Lawrence Robbins M.D.
