I think the essence of faith is that it is a belief in some thing which is not proven. Where there is enough evidence for proof, faith is not needed - proof is proof. Faith is sturdy, whether it be in a God or, in my case the absence of a God. The absence of proof enables it to stand up to, or be strengthened by, attacks on it.
Simply, Todd and Skymaster could be arguing until the day they find out the truth, or don't.
