My husband was diagnosed with Cluster headaches over a year ago, and then they went away until now. He's been having about two a day for about two weeks. He's tried the Imitrex nasal spray and the shots. The shots seem to help. Is there a limit to how many he can have? Is it 2 shots within 24 hrs.? He's also got back on the Vermapil last Sunday. Do most of you who take this stay on it all the time, even when you are not having an episode? His neurologist also gave him a sample of Migranial (?), it's some kind of nasal thing. Anyone tried it?
His headaches are just awful and I feel so helpless! Is there anything else we should be doing as preventative or as a treatment. Does oxygen really help? I've heard that it does for some. I was reading about some of you using prednisone. I was on that for something else for about a month and it was terrible, but we are willing to try anything!
I'm sorry I have so many questions, we are new to headache thing. I also have a medical problem that I found a discussion board for, and it was wonderful to talk to others in my situation. I'm sure everyone feels the same way here!
