Yes, I've fought with my insurance a few times
before. And, so far have won each time.

First though, where do you live and who is your
carrier?
If you live in the US, the insurer HAS to have a
specific reason for not covering what your doctor
prescribes. I wouldn't be surprised if you are dealing with an HMO????
I'm just one of the "little people" who hates to
get pushed around by the "big guys". And I hate
to see it happen to others. If you want, you can

Need some details though, the insurance companies
WILL screw you around if you let them, but most
of the time they have to give in when challenged.
If you are interested in standing up to them, I'll
do it with you. I'm far from a lawyer, just a blue
collar worker. But, I run a charity on the side, and have to fight with some pretty tough groups
now and then to get help. But, we can fight them.
