I think child abuse is one of the worse crimes that can be committed and the people that commit these crimes are really sick and should be locked away forever, I am extremely happy in our state that the statue of limitations have been removed from these crimes in recent years, perhaps my analogy to the physical damage was poor, but was just trying to say is that some pretty nasty things can happen, but if your body was left intact, at least there is hope that a normal productive life can be had, I am well aware of the mental damage, in the case of my wife, years of counseling and understanding plus patient listening and changing life styles were in order to ease the burden, I did not divorce my wife, and would have never of divorced her, I married her for better or for worse, she divorced me after I was severely injured in an automotive accident, I was just speculating that she lost in me her protector and provider, this notion was introduced by yet another therapist, she was also bipolar and I as tried to say, other members in her family were also abused by this same person according to my wife, but I had long talks with them and either they could not admit it as they denied it ever happened. My wife also hurt innocent people by claiming they were sexual abuses that resulted in long term investigations so they is also another side to this story, each was found innocent, was just trying to say, it's a difficult thing to live with and hope there is still room for a normal life, I wish you the best.
