Actually, I learned a long time ago not to press where the pain is centrally located. If your greatest source of the pain is in the temple (Like me,) Do not press on the temple area - this will actually make the cluster worse. Instead, I press just below the ear, around the jaw, or just under the cheek to the side of the chin (Right in the neck.) My sore spots are at the back of the head (straight across from the eyebal area), the top where hair used to be (in a small area up above the right eye), and my right brow bone is sore too.
Actually, right now I can't afford anything. Thought I had enough for some generic acetominaphin or something - but alas, no. I'll be glad if I ever get my SSI. I can't even afford over-the-counter crap anymore. I haven't worked in 21 months now - and it is starting(?) to drive me mad.
Now I am trying other things like: strangling myself to the point of passing out (sure it sounds wicked - but when you start to feel pressure build up in your head and hear that funny buzzing sound and then let go - you get about ten to fifteen pain-lightening seconds.)
Did the Benadryl thing before too. Most of the time when I have gone for a long period without sleep, I have absolutely no problem falling to sleep - it's the staying asleep that I can't seem to get down to a science. I usually fall fast asleep and wake up quick with a 10 in tow.
Peace,
