weston!
hello! okay: my doctor thought i was crazy when i called him and told him about all the side effects i had. but i went on the net and saw that others too had SAME side effects....so...
lemme list them:
on THIRD day of zyban, i FELT LIKE I HAD DONE 4 LINES OF COCAINE. this effect lasted for about 6/7 hours. don't think that this was pleasant: it was horrid.
later and up until the 7th day,
the "felt like i did coke" effect
happened off and on continuously,
plus ADD ONTO THAT:
tingly sensation in arms,
hands uncontrollably shaking and trembling,
brain REALLY slow and body SUPER fast,
3 day migraine,
sleeplessness,
loss of appetite,
absolute restlessness and
that general state of being on a speed high and NOT WANTING TO BE
and finally dizziness like "the spins" when trying to sleep.
on the 6th day, i QUIT ZYBAN. on the 7th day, i QUIT SMOKING. it's been 5 days. i actually think i've done it this time. that old adage is really true: you'll quit when you're ready. most of this addiction is psychological - believe it or not. the media has convinced us that it's really hard to quit smoking....well, nicotine leaves one's body in 3 days and the "withdrawel" effects are only HUGE if there is a part of oneself that still wants to smoke. if one doesn't want cigarettes in one's life anymore, then withdrawel is simply a slightly uncomfortable feeling that comes and goes within that three day period. all the other part of the battle is PSYCHOLOGICAL. truly.
if you are experiencing side effects and you DON'T LIKE THEM, GET OFF ZYBAN. that drug affects people differently and it affected me in the NASTIEST WAY. i'm so glad i'm back to being me and not some psycho-drug induced crazy speed chick. i speak against zyban because the side effects that i experienced are not listed in the precautions and only thru talking to others and surfing the net did i find out that i wasn't the only one.
