Yes, for thirty years I spent a great of time and money hunting down a cure for what I thought was sinusitus. No real cures, of course. And then, after all that time I to find what I'm really suffering from is CHs. (And mostly, I found that out right here, on this site. But my new neuro says yes, that's what you got.) It is also true that in the early stages of my clusters - for maybe the first couple of weeks of a fivea-week event, I can kill off the pain with hot washcloths to the schnoze, or a shot of Afrin. After that, I'm into major CH mode and those things don't work. But do not be deluded. Just because your sinuses hurts, that doesn't neccessarily mean it's sinus. I always hurt in the same place: right alongside my nose, which is a sinus site. One of the MDs even operated, cut a hole into the sinus caviity, in order to relieve the pressure. Big deal, a year and a thousand bucks later I still hurt. If I were you, I'd be pretty sure before I went ahead. Try a neuro.
