To begin with, understand that all meds have costs and consequences. Considering effecive abortives, I have found Imitrex and O2. I have heard that Amerge is a cousin of Imitrex that works more slowly (2 hours?), but lasts longer. I will probably end up using an ergotamine, DHE. Ocer time, I have used a variety of abortives: cafergot-timing critical, prednisone-acne and weight gain, sansert-works, lithium-works at high dose, verapamil-works with lithium, and remiron-helps sleep. You can find dat at Dr. Robbin's website and other places. Understand that personal reaction varies and you have to follow your own course.
