DJ - I'm so sorry that Trace crossed the Rainbow Bridge. With dog folks it's a bridge that leads to heaven where our dogs are waiting for us to join them someday. I'm crying too with you!
We lost 2 dogs 5 yrs ago and said we would never get another because of the pain we felt (it wasn't the first time.) Four yrs later we went to Texas (we live in Wichita, Ks) and got our Irish Setter, breed just for hunting, Caitie.
Even with kids...dogs are family too!
