Unlike your other reponses, I have had some luck with STADOL.
As my episode begins, the clusters are less severe in pain and the STADOL works fairly well, but as the severity increases the less effective STADOL becomes, so naturally, because the pain gets so intense the easier STADOL is to abuse.
The first and last time I abused STADOL I sprayed it four times within 1 1/2 hours, it put me down for 9 hours. I was lucky I woke up, I hadn't moved a muscle the entire time, I just laid there and drooled.
As dangerous, addictive, incapacitating (but so are the headaches) and expensive STADOL is,(My ins. does not cover it...$117.00 for 10 to 12 sprays) I will still use it, because sometimes it helps and if it helps even a little bit it's well worth it to me.
