Kristy,
Your doctor is very right. Indomethacin and Advil all fall into a class of drugs called NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflamitories). They work by blocking a cascade of enzymes in the body. This cascade, though, is used by the baby to keep a very important artery open. This artery is required by the baby while it is in-utero (bypasses the lungs which are not used and developing). Taking NSAIDS can cause this artery to close...sometimes terminal to a fetus. Other drugs of this class include all forms of Ibuprofen (advil, motrin, etc), Aleve (naprosyn), aspirin (though low doses seem ok...but not recommended), indocin, and others.
Imitrex is pregnancy class C, meaning it's safety is not really known. Oxygen is, however, safe. Lidocaine drops should be ok.
On an upside, women who have migraines and clusters often stop altogther when they are pregnany. I hope you fall into this group.
Ergotamines are also contraindicated in pregnancy. Lithium is also a no no (heart malformations)
Talk to your doctor about other choices in prophylactic medication. I'm sorry it sounds like most of your choices are being eliminated. I truly wish you the best. Any way I can help let me know.
Greg
