I get 'warnings', i.e. first the shadow, a 'tightness' in my temple almost as if I had burned the skin and it was shrinking. This can go on for hours, so it's totally useless as an indicator as to when an attack will hit....it just tells me I'm in cycle.
Just prior to a full blown attack, I'll USUALLY get from one to perhaps four stabs...say a K3 or K4, but lasting only 1-2 seconds. This is the latest time to take Imitrex tabs and have them work. Within 1 - 5 minutes, I'm fullblown, with the pain GENERALLY soaring straight up to the maximum level the Demon has decided this one will be.
I BELIEVE the same pattern likely exists with the nighttime ones, but the quick stabs are too short in duration to waken me, so the Demon has all the time he needs to fire up his broiler, heat the railroad spike, drive it through my head and stick it in my eyeball before I wake up, totally disoriented and screaming in agony.
KTSSU,
