Wow Carl, that's a hell of a lot of ercaf.
Very dangerous.
side effects include serious circulatory problems including stroke and gangrene in the extremities (I use ercaf sometimes, effectively, but my doc told me STOP if I ever feel tingling in hands or feet)
it doesn't seem to work well as a preventive - though a lot of docs try it that way - I personally feel all that does is build a tolerance to it, reducing its effectiveness as an attack abortive
Suggest you keep a medicine diary - when I get going bad,I completely lose focus & memory, and that's the ONLY way I can keep track of what I take
re: research study:
any valid research is VERY finely focussed - it's the only way it can work; the little bitty pieces add up over time & hopefully big answers eventually emerge
the study will have specifications for who is a valid subject, and those are based on standardizing the "background clutter" of variables that are irrelevant to the particular study - so, if they're focussing on some aspect of episodic CH, a chronic patient doesn't fit - would mess up the study
I know you're having a tough time of it and I wish there was some magic answer, but there ain't - not yet
when I was about your age I went a bit more than 2 years chronic, no damn fun, I know
there are a LOT of additional techniques that can HELP, in addition to just piling on all the drugs in the store, but a lot of people seem to feel that if it doesn't fix it 100% it isn't worth considering
that's too bad - any improvement is good with these SOBs
