I have been taking anywhere from 4 to 8 a day, although there are times when I awake and am probably not conscious enough to make a good decision on how many to take or how many I have already taken for that day. Nighttime has been the worst for me throughout this whole cycle, and though I have been getting some sleep again, I am still getting hit like you wouldn't believe.
BTW, I am right now "in-between docs" and having a hard time finding one that is for real. Tried to take part in a cluster study being done by the Ryan Headache Center in St. Louis, but they wouldn't accept me when I told them I have been chronic for almost two years. They said I wouldn't be considered a good candidate for the study, though I think I would be the ULTIMATE specimen: If you find something that will help a chronic, it will most definitely help someone who is episodic.
Back to the gnawing board.
