Hi Everyone:
I started my latest cluster cycle in late August. After the first signs of
an oncoming cycle, I sew my neurologist. He put me on a tapering Prednisone
prescription, and after the Prednisone treatment ended, started me on
Verapamil to control the remaining headaches. Also, I used Imitrex a couple
of times a week.
All in all, this was the most tolerable cycle I've had in many years. Only
one day did ther headaches get way out of control, and the cycle lasted only
three weeks.
However, my sleep has been way out of wack since going on the Prednisone.
While taking 60mg/day, I would often wake up at 2:30 to 3:30 am, and be
up for the rest of the day. This pattern has continued even though I have
been off the prednisone for weeks, and the cycle ended weeks ago. I'm still
waking up in the middle of the night every night, and not able to get back
to sleep.
Believe me, I'll take the insomnia any day over the CH's. Does anyone have
any ideas what might be up? Is it an aftereffect of the Prednisone? Does
it have anything to do with the fouled Biological Clock theories of CH?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
