I am a fifty year old male who has suffered with ch for twelve or so years. I found a competent neurologist and have run the gamut of drugs: sansert, lithium, etc, etc. Imitrix was helpful, but takes up to an hour to take effect; waiting, as most of you know, is hell; I have classic symptoms: excruciating pain on the temple or behind my left eye, runny nose (left nostril only), tearing of left eye. Finally, I got my doctor to let me try oxygen...and from the start, it has worked extremely well in STOPPING the ch, almost immediately.
I breathe for 10 min.; and during this cycle, it has STOPPED the pain (during a bad one, it took two applications to stop all the pain.
Oxygen, so far, knock on wood, has been of tremendous help to me; I feel much better knowing that I have some kind of defense against ch. Nothing else has worked as well for me. Those at wit's end, consult your dr. and give it a shot.
