Hi,
I'm presently having my fourth cluster episode. I did
some research around the net and found information saying
that there is evidence that there is a decrease in bloodflow
around the area where and when the Cluster Headache is
occuring.
I hypothisized that heat and massage around the area may help
by increaing blood circulation to that area.
So for the past few nights I've tried applying a heating pad
(and a rag soaked in hot water while the pad is warming up)
and gently massaged the area with it.
This seems to take the bite out of the headaches for me.
The pain is reduced from excruciating to bearable while I do
doing this. I can't tell if the duration of the headache is
reduced.
Has anyone else tried this with similar results?
Tony
BTW Cold air seems to work too, but standing in the cold
is uncomfortable, and the headache tends to flare up after
I come back inside.
