OK, I know the group term is "shadow", but in my book there are two different "afterglows" associated with CH attacks: hangovers and brain bruises.
World-class hangovers. In my drinking days I would fill my body with alcohol toxins and the brain would hurt due to the crap chemicals that it processed. In following the CH-chemical link I believe that the same thing is happening, bad chemicals are left over and take time to wash-out of the brain. These are CH-hangovers.
Brain bruises seem to accompany the CH's that feel like an alien lizzard with clod-hopper boots has been marching through the left side of my brain exploring the blood vessels deep inside and near the surface. These are different than the hangovers. These bruises don't feel like they are chemically-induced, but rather the result of some physical trauma.
For some reason "shadows" make me feel paranoid. I might be fearful of these attacks, but I'm not paranoid about them.
