My children (one boy one girl) were only little when I started CH - they've been supportive and understanding for the whole time and are still, together with my wife, my greatest allies in CH. They're both in their twenties now and in all probability it has made them more sympathetic and understanding to other people problems, particularly illness. Try to explain as simply as possible what your problem is - they will be far more frightened if you try to hide it - kids like to know what's going on.
