My psychiatrist self-reported that he had once prescribed a procedure of wrapping a patient in aluminum foil so that certain energy waves would not enter her head and cause her distress. The patient complied with this treatment plan and soon the distress was resolved. Today, this same patient re-applies the treatment whenever these certain energy waves become once more troublesome.

Has anyone attempted a similar experiment? (Down pillows over the head are not really the same thing.)
