I don't want anyone to feel like I'm preaching to the choir, and I don't think that you are "abusing" the drugs you are on, just taking what has been prescribed, but as Margi said, look at what you're taking. I have reread Lars message a couple of times, and each time, it reaffirms, that we are all, or have been on far too high a mix of drugs. When you think stuff like St Johns Wort (herbal) can cause nasty side effects if taken with some meds, I can't imagine what some of the "cocktails" that I have read about on the board can do. Believe me I am not criticizing....I just know, that some of the rebound headaches I have had, are clearly some of the worst, and at one point, I did not know what a rebound was even. My father in law loves to take meds.....he takes four of this, and two of that, a spoonsful of something else, 2 at lunchtme, 2 at night, 3 on waking up...you get the picture.....and he always feels terrible.... I made him get all his bottles & lotions & potions out on the table, guess what.....15 different bottles, all prescribed by two physicians. I finally convinced him, (it was hard, the Dr. has a piece of paper saying he's a Dr; what the hell does his daughter in law know??) to cut it down to six...he now says he feels the best he has done in years. A lot of was just sheer old common sense, and KNOWING about the drugs you are on, and their interactions. I know that many peopl, DO actually need all the drugs they are on, du to multiple ailments...all I'm saying is know your drugs, and don't necessarily leave it all to the Dr to tell you. Sometimes I wonder if it's a case of you don't ask, they don't tell. Good luck with you appt...I'll be interested to hear how it goes...Judi
