Dear All,
I’ve been doing some heavy thinking for the last half-hour, trying to work out what I’ve been trying to
achieve with our friend from Beta-Blocker land.
I have tried and tried to get answers, and persuade him to be civil to us all, even to the extent of being
critical of those who reacted to his initial posts.
Clearly he has no such intention. The final straw for me was his reaction to DJ today. While DJ may not be
God (after all I believe in DJ!), he comes pretty high on the list of all time good guys, so my patience has
now been exhausted.
Therefore can I apologise to all of you for what might have seemed a bit of a self-righteous crusade, for
wasting so much of your time and for being such a total idiot. Thanks to all of you who have written to say
that you felt I was trying to do something useful. I will now go away for a while and try and repair my faith
in human nature.
One final thing; if we do get another newcomer who clearly cannot be bothered to make any attempt at
understanding netiquette and simple common manners, can someone very quickly explain politely and
concisely what we are at here. Then, if they don’t listen, we can all know that a resounding “fuck off” from
the entire community can be given unanimously and promptly, and we can get on with more important
things.
