I found this board a couple of weeks ago when my cycle began after a wonderful 2 1/2 year remission. Now I'm fighting the beast 3 or 4 times a day as is "normal" for my cycle. This place is truly a godsend.
Just curious about something that I'll probably never really get an answer to, but thought I'd bring it up for discussion and education (for me). Is or is not CH hereditary? I've seen different statements on the subject in different sources. Here's the rather personal reason I ask. My father committed suicide in 1965 shortly after I was born. Although it isn't discussed much in the family, I have gathered information from here and there that he had "bad" headaches. Of course, back then, they probably didn't know what to call CH's even if that's what he had.
I guess the reason I want to know if CH's are hereditary is I've always wondered what drove him to do what he did. I know he had some financial problems, but who doesn't at some point in life? To me, something must be drastically wrong to take that final drastic step, one that I can attest affects others for decades. A full blown cluster is the only thing I have experienced in this life that even comes close to the thought even passing through my mind, and then all I need to do is think of missing my family growing up, and it's not a consideration. Just wondering, as I probably always will, why he left.
Thanks for listening and your input. Here's to a painfree night.
