I am tired of trying to change my diet, taking verapamil, and having a perfect sleep schedule. It does not matter for me. I have came to the the conclusion that the headaches are a mattter of timing with the triggers. My Dr. has cut me off of Imitrex shots and wishes to reffer me to a specialist, a nuerologist (excuse spelling) a cost that I cannot secome to. I really want to give up and do what I have done for the past 25 years. That is just eat and rotate the over-the-counter meds and try a little illegal mean of medicating my condition. I know this is wrong morally, but I can get three days relief from $50 of cocaine vs. $100 for 1 day. This is very sarcastic and stupid if I want to progress past these damm headaches but I feel I have no choice. Dr.'s are not aware of the the totally dehabilitating effect they have on me. After 25 years of messing around with all the preventative messures I should take, I give up to the clusters. Nothing will prevent them and the medication to relive them is outragous in cost, $100 for 2 doses. By the way, most insurance companies will only authorize six perscription a year. This only covers the first month and half of my cycles. I really do not want to spend money on illegal drugs, but it is easy to form the opinion that $50 for dope and 3 days of no headaches is only the logical way out. Last nite on Larry King Live they focused on cluster and migraines. The Hollywood stars are able to get lidocaine drops for their headaches, why is it so hard for the average person to obtain them. I also heard them talking about O2 as a treatment, how costly and difficult is it to get a Dr. to go this route? Anyone with some advice on these clusters, which are at their 4 month stage can e-mail me please!!
