Hi Tim.
I take Verapamil SR ( Sustained Release ). This drug has been a topic of recent posts. You can find it in the med info section on the left. Although it is not a first line treatment, I believe people trying it are having success. I take 180 mgs twice a day. It works great for me.
However, it takes a few weeks for VP SR to build up an effective blood level. Dosages I have found on this page range from 240-720 mgs. I went from 180 to 360 mgs and the results were dramitic. In my opinion, I would try to get your doc to let you try this med. But I am sure you will get many responces and will have a time making a decision.
There are many treatments, but VP SR works for me
If you do chose it remember you have to work twords an effective dosage
Good luck
