Hi all.
I'm just coming down from my second daytime#10 in as many days. Very unusual for me. This whole cluster that I'm in has been unusual, in that my usual prophylactic (I like that word) meds, lithium, indocin, don't seem to be working. The addition of prednisone didn't help either. The abortive (I don't like that word) meds, imitrex pills and O2, haven't been effective, either. This is the first time in 8 years that I haven't been able to get a handle on these. I'm a psychotherapist, and for the first time ever, I've had to cancel several clients, which is not good for them or my wallet. My questions for you-all are...I have a Dr. appt Monday. I assume my Dr. will ask me what I want to do, as he is very accomodating. I don't know what to say. I could say that I want to start a completely different set of meds, I could say "I don't know", Or I could ask to start the Prednisone taper again, which has helped in the past. Of the something new option, what would you suggest? Topomax?
How about the "abortive"? Imitrex injections? And finally, I'm a bit afraid that if I start something completely new, there will be a time lag which will be an open invitation to the Demon to take me to the prom. Thanks for your input.
